Senwosret I

Of the reign of Senwosret Ier, the Louvre possessed several steles, of which  the C34 stele  and  the C3 stele of which you can see a detail below. A table of offerings dedicated by this king to Montuhotep III comes of Umm-el-Qab. Quoting C. Obsomer, during this reign, "the private steles of Abydos are executed with a care that will remain unequaled during the full Middle Kingdom."
